With nine boats already committed and more expected, competition over the Labor Day weekend will be fierce.  Local fleet captain Brad Kauffman is currently working with CBYRA to retroactively reinstate the Farr 30 class as a “sanctioned” One Design class on the Chesapeake.  This would qualify the class for the High Point on the Chesapeake, deservedly so.

Other events the fleet are considering are the AYC Fall Series which begins with a distance race on October 3 and continues October 13 and 14 with inshore racing.  As Brad states “if traveling south, you would be able to leave your boat in Annapolis until the annual pilgrimage in January to Key West Race Week” a bucket list event for any sailor.
