Swedish Farr 30 Nationals

In the beginning of June, eleven Farr 30s gathered in the village of Sandhamn outside of Stockholm, to sail the first ever Swedish Nationals. We had the pleasure of having two foreign visiting teams with us, German Topas and Dutch team Triple P. During three days of racing we sailed 8 W/L races.

As it should be in a one-design class, the competition was tight and fierce. Just how tight and competitive the fleet has become is shown through that five different boats won a race. Like always in a very competitive fleet, a high lowest level and consistency paid off. Current silver medalist from the Farr 30 world championship 2012, Matrisen (ex Farrbar 2) with Martin Strandberg on the helm won the title with mere one point before Happy Yachting and owner Par Svardson. Matrisen won with the series of 2, 6, 3, 1, 1, 3, 6, (10).
