The newly formed Southern California Farr 30 fleet has gotten off to a great start, with seven boats competing in the Ahmanson Regatta at Newport Harbor Yacht Club on April 19-20. "The Farr 30 class was the most competitive with the top 4 boats finishing 12,13,14,15," reports regatta winner Jim Murrell. "Many people have been amazed and commenting on the sudden "appearance" of the Farr 30 class. We are generating much interest."
With the class starting off with such a strong footing in Southern California and a growing fleet forming in Vancouver, British Columbia as well, expect to see great Farr 30 One Design racing on the west coast of North America for years to come. Complete results from the Ahmnason Regatta are below.
