The Farr 30 Fleet Welcomes New Owner Scott Easom of San Francisco, California!
Scott is the proud new owner of Hull #57 and I asked him if he would mind sharing a little bit about himself and his plans for “the greatest little 30 footer ever designed”. Here’s what Scott has to say:
“I have always loved the Mumm 30/Farr 30 since I sailed Bob Garvey's in the 90's. My boat, hull #57 was one of Philippe Kahn's Pegasus boats, that might have won the World's a few years ago. The boat needs a lot of work, but that's what we do as the owner of Rigging and Racing.
We plan on traveling up and down the west coast and meeting a whole new group of people and having fun on the greatest little 30 footer ever designed! I'm going to sail with usual guys from the Moore 24 and the Souzal King 40 program and we're really looking forward to the events. We were even more excited when we heard that the Farr 30 Worlds may be coming to San Francisco bay in 2011.
Easom Rigging has been around since 1979. In that time we have raced and rigged for all the big names around the world. Our clientele have won world championships in all 4 corners of the world from dinghy's to maxiboats. We're most proud of our 15 year association with Roy Disney and his Pyewackets. While we're based in the SF bay area, Pt. Richmond, many of our clients are spread out around the world”.
Welcome to the Fleet Scott and we look forward to seeing you on the racecourse soon!
